Pippa

When I decided to get a chihuahua, I found a reputable breeder of the deer-head variety. She had a litter of puppies ready to go and once I had a look, I set my heart on getting this chocolate and white female. Well, fate decided that she wasn't mine, for she was the only puppy in that litter that had already been sold.
I wasn't interested in the long-haired siblings, and the other short-coat puppy was a male, so I pouted and said I guess not this time. Well, to my surprise, she said that she had a small litter of three 4 week old short-coat puppies that I could have first pick of, if I wanted. Excited again, I had a look.
To my pleasant surprise, there were 2 blue and fawn puppies (one male and one female) and one black and tan female puppy. When I saw that the blue girl had a "heart" of white on her chest, I knew she was the one I had to have.
6 Weeks later, I was the proud owner of my first chihuahua. On our second day home together, we took a trip to northern Wisconsin to stay in a cabin on the lake. Immediately, she made everyone there fall in love with her, including a yellow lab and a golden retriever mix. At first I thought the offers to buy her were nothing but jokes and teasing!
Since that weekend, she has accompanied me to work, friend's houses, vacations, errands, family visits, etc. From family to friends, bank tellers to mailmen, everyone she met wanted to keep her. I have never met a sweeter or more sociable dog. She doesn't discriminate laps, and loves making new friends. If you looked up "lap dog" in the dictionary, her picture would be there!

Pippa is a recent immigrant to Australia from the United States. Her parents are both registered, and she has papers, as well. She's happy to be in the fairer weather and can be caught sunbathing on a frequent basis. She's a simple girl with simple needs- cuddles, hugs, makeovers, and food. She loves her toys and loves her kitties, but hates swimming!
